We made a quick stop in Waco, TX on Saturday to pick up some items from the Dr. Pepper Museum. We didn’t go through the museum, but we did take the opportunity to grab some Dr. Pepper floats from the soda fountain, and I took advantage of the glorious afternoon sunlight to get some photographs of the museum and the ALICO Building. This 22-story skyscraper is the tallest for many many miles and was built in 1910. It was one of the few structures in Waco to survive the 1953 tornado outbreak that destroyed over 600 homes and killed 114 residents. You can see the different colored bricks on the Dr. Pepper building that show damage from those storms.
