So, the “Supermoon” was great. I’ve not really paid attention to the moon in a while, so it was quite nice get out there and just look at it for a while. I didn’t know how much I’d missed it.

Photographing it was a bit tougher. At first I just used my zoom lens. Playing around with the timing and such. While I did have a tripod, it was a bit windy. That and I had to find my remote...

Took quite a few shots and was going to stop for the night. Came in for a while and then I remembered the doubler that I had recently acquired. I figured I’d give it a go. Only problem was that trying to manual focus on a windy night when I’m already not good at manual focusing was not fun. I even tried my live view trick but the moon was too bright to show up as anything but a very bright disc. Had a few favorite shots, though they weren’t that great. I need some better glass.

Anyways, there were my favorite ones of the night. The third one is without the doubler.

70-300mm 4-5.6 Sigma DG.
