Yesterday I decided to take a trip to Chicago to see if they had the battery compartment for an old camera I bought recently. (I really do promise to make a post about this later). They did. Then I made the mistake of looking at other things. Old cameras, wasn’t going to buy one of those today, and then lenses.
So, today my car decided to make me need to go to the salvage yard for a new (used) part. I was going to put it off, but then I remembered a post asking about the Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D lens. And it being a cloudy day, I thought it perfect for salvage yard photos. I WAS going to take the E version of the lens as well, but…
It's been a very long time since I've been back on here, but due to winter break I won't have to return to class or work for a couple weeks, so I'm hoping I can get a few posts in. Recently, on some random day, a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens was gifted to me, so of course I've spent the last couple days testing it out.
A friend of mine who's just picked up photography has an Nikon D7000 with 18-105mm kit lens. He's looking for a new lens and asked me if I had any suggestions. I've never used the Nikon system so I have no insight into their glass, but I know you talented folks do.
