Got four rolls of film developed. First up is Agfa Vista 200.
This roll was shot on my Nikon F2 with a 50mm 1.4 lens.
This was my favorite cheap film until it was discontinued. You can still get it but now it costs more for one roll than it did for a 3-pack.
This roll served as an important lesson. I had a few rolls left of the Vista and wanted to save them for a nice day. The F2 doesn’t have a little window like my F4 where you can see what roll of film is in the camera. Instead it has a little holder you can put the lid from the box of film in so you know what film is in the camera.
I forgot to do this.
I also forgot to set the iso dial to the correct film speed when I loaded it, and this entire roll of 200 film got shot at 400.
So thinking I had some mystery roll of 400 speed in the film, I set about just shooting randomly without maybe not as much thought in each photo as I would’ve otherwise. I dunno.
me after opening the camera and realizing what I had done:
But I told my camera shop when I dropped it off and they said, “No problem.”
Still remains one of my favorite films.
