Bringing kinja into focus, one frame at a time

On Saturday I drove down to Sarasota for the annual “Porsches In The Park” show at St. Armands Circle. In case you haven’t figured it out, it’s an all-Porsche show.

There was a nice variety of cars on display, with some notable omissions. No 918. No 959. Only one 914 that I saw (which I forgot to go back to shoot). I didn’t see a 924, and only saw one 928. But there was some nasty rain that morning and I know there were some no-shows because of that. But what was there was, as they say, maximum parsh.

I shot the cars I personally liked. I skipped over the new GT2's and GT3's and whatnot. I see those all the time. They are great. Love ‘em. But there were far more interesting things to look at.

These are some of the highlights. You can see more on my website if you are so inclined.

This rules. Don’t @ me.
I love this 911. Not too flashy. Not too perfect, but yet perfectly perfect. The yellow lettering on the tires really ties the room together.

This beauty is probably my favorite thing ever. The awesome dude who owns it brings it out a lot. I absolutely never get tired of seeing it. I’m going to visit it and some of its friends in January.

I have mixed feeling about this.

Stay tuned for a post on Tuesday (if all goes well) of something a little faster than any car from this show. By a little faster, I mean something over 7,000 mph faster.
