Time for another photo of the day!
Today’s photo comes from Gary, Indiana. Gary is a mess, suffering huge population and economic decline in the second half of the 20th century. Large swaths of the city are abandoned.
This photo is from the abandoned City Methodist Church, a very popular (and very beautiful) spot for urban explorers. A large portion of the church lies literally in ruins, nature taking over. When this photo was taken the church sanctuary still (kind of) had a roof over it, but that roof has since collapsed.
