Last week, you were tasked with taking a picture of a skyline. There weren’t too many entries, but there were some excellent shots taken. Let’s take a look.

“Hong Kong from the Victoria Peak with the XF18.”

“Let’s recycle pictures from the past month. This is the city centre of Auckland seen from Queen’s Warf. On the left is the “Cloud” which was built as an event centre for the last rugby worldcup so that Kiwis would have a place to watch the mighty all blacks. On the right, it’s the ferry terminal, and behind the couple tower, you can get a glimpse of the Skytower. Taken with the Fuji XF35mm on a Fuji X-A1, @f/16, ISO200 and 30 sec of exposure. Without any tripod... I just put the camera on a mooring thingy.”

“Auckland, once again. Really this must be getting long for you guys, always seeing the same pictures =D. This picture was taken friom the walkway while I was on my way to the Westhaven Marina back in April. Taken with a Fujifilm X-A1 paired to Fujinon XC16-50mm lens and using a Gorillapod wrapped around a fence (best 30€ I’ve ever spent). ISO200, f/8.0, 30 sec of exposure. I really need to get myself a remote trigger for the camera.... But for now I’m waiting for the (cheap) variable ND to get here.”

“Just had terrible weather and when there was good weather could not get time to take a picture. Instead we went for a drive to look for ice cream today and you all get an HDR shot from my Nexus 5.”

“ Lower Manhattan from Staten Island Ferry, July 2013. Took this on my old 4S. I know NYC has a super recognizable skyline, but I still think it’s pretty neat. Also I like the lighting on this one.”

“Also, here’s the Nashville skyline. I go to school there, so it has a special place in my heart. Weird picture, but I don’t have the proper equipment to get the shot I really want, which is facing downtown at night on the 440 parkway headed eastbound. I’d need a serious telephoto lens for that haha.”

“I snapped this on the 14th floor of the Faculty of Social Sciences building at the University of Ottawa. Seems like a decent enough shot. I wanted to make a panorama, but I couldn’t figure out the software.”

“This one was taken down by the Ottawa River a few weeks ago of the city across from us (Gatineau-Hull). Both photos were shot with my D70s.”

Once again, great work from everyone this week! Keep your eyes peeled for next week’s mission!
