One of many trips to Chicago.

Wednesday I decide to make myself go out again. I didn’t even give myself time to think about it really. Just grabbed my stuff and left early in the morning. But this time I decided to try it with a specific lens I’d love to get better at using.

My Nikon 50mm f1.8 series E came in a case with a bunch of other lenses and such that I bought at an antique store. Not only is it manual focus, but it also has a manual aperture. This makes it a bit more fun to use. It feels more natural in a way.

The downside for me is that I am TERRIBLE at manual focusing. It’s mainly my eyes. I have astigmatism, so it is a bit hard to tell if something is completely in focus. Thankfully, a few of the shots did turn out! (some out of focus on purpose...)

Same ones as on my site, but I wouldn’t mind you peeking over there if you’ve not been!
