Old Body and Decent Lense or New Body with Kit Lense?

Probably going to get my first DSLR around June for my birthday. I’ve noticed all kinds of camera bodies on KEH in the $100-$130 range like an old Nikon D70, released in 2004. A Pentax K100D, or a Sony A200.

So I could get an older used body with a new lense in the $200 range or buy a refurbished Canon EOS Rebel T5 with the 2 kit lenses (18-55 and 75-300) for $300. Which would be a better option? Would the lense or the body make for the better picture? Are these stupid questions? My gut says go for the newer body with kit lenses.
