Muhammad Ali Knocks Out Cleveland Williams

This remarkable photograph was taken in 1966 by Neil Leifer. The camera, suspended above the ring before the fight, was triggered remotely and captures the moment of victory. Leifer considers it the best photo he ever took, and says that it is the only photo from his 40-year career that is hanging in his house. Leifer also took this photo of Ali defeating Sonny Liston, an image that many consider to be one of the greatest sports photographs of all time. You can see more of Leifer’s work here.
