Last month, you were tasked with taking a photo that showed some colour. Without further ado, here are everyone’s entries! I’m trying a new way to do formatting since Kinja is now demanding we source all images, so let’s see how this pans out.

“Early morning in the Oregon desert. Also 6D+300mm, F4, ISO 800, 0.5s. This was an attempt to capture Comet Neowise right before sunrise-no luck but the color gradient turned out alright! Same contrast/color profile adjustments in Lightroom as previous.”

“I guess there are some bugs that have really been enjoying these sunflowers. The wife planted these at the end of our driveway this spring. Not bad for a first try!”

“Taken with an iPhone XS. Poppy in front of an old barn.We have several ensembles of historical buildings in my village, this poppy is in the cluster closes to me - old vineyard. Unfortunately, there is no more wine growing - it has all been converted into plots for new buildings.”

“This is the 6/13/20 SpaceX Starlink launch. The pre-dawn launches are my favorite as you get the expanding second stage exhaust plume illuminated by the sun (which is still below the horizon). It’s breathtaking to see in person. This is probably the most colorful night launch pictures I’ve taken. The Cocoa Beach Pier really helped make that happen. This is two very different shots of the initial launch streak and then the exhaust plume that I somehow managed to make into a panorama. It took some doing, but it worked.”

“Shot this the weekend before lockdown started at the DWA Coastal Range Rally. When it comes to color, it’s probably my favorite photo. The red just pops so much that it doesn’t look real. Canon 6D. “
