I gave up on social distancing and stuck my face in to a bush full of bees today. One even landed on my nose. Good times. I did had flashes of Smithers from “22 Short Films About Springfield” when it happened.
I shot these using the Nikkor AF 28-85mm lens in macro mode. They are cropped. A lot. But that lens is so good that there is still detail for days. Between this lens and the pancake 50mm, I feel inspired. But with things as they are, I’ll be sticking close to home. You might get a deluge of cat pictures before too long.
Bonus Pics: On Friday evening, I took some sunset pics with the pancake 50mm.
The beaches around here are now closed, with the whole state soon too follow. No more night missions for stars or satellites. Milky Way season is just getting started, so that’s going to have to wait. I suspect we’ll be given the “stay inside unless absolutely necessary” request/order soon, as well. Might hit the streets Sunday to finish off the roll of film I’m working on and to shoot whatever I can.
Hope everyone is healthy and making the best of all this.
