You will see why in a second. Taking this lens apart (55mm 1.7) has been awesome so far. Its all machined so beautifully and its build is just so well thought out. No wasted space anywhere. This is some very cool mechanical action.
The rear element on the lens has a nice big gouge in it. So i have another of the same exact lens and im going to frankenstein the two together. One has good elements and the other has good a aperture. I may just completely take it down to each aperture blade though, since ive noticed oil buildup on both...
I cant go any further because i need a spanner wrench. Using two flatheads will only get you so far without damaging stuff.
