Took another adventure around the Ottawa area this weekend, going to the Byward Market area on Friday and the Aviation Parkway today (Sunday). All photos were taken with my Nikon D70s with the 18-70mm lens and an ISO of 200, none of which are edited. All in all, I took 335 photos this weekend, and these were the better ones. Also, I am sorry about what this upload is about to do to Kinja. And there is some graffiti which might be a little since it does kind of look like an arse and a nipple in there, so just a heads up.
The visual arts building at U d'O.
The side of Tabaret Hall at U d'O.
The exterior wall and the gallows of the former Ottawa County Jail, currently a hostel and site of spooky ghost tours.
The outside of the jail.
The former courthouse next door, connected to the jail by a tunnel.
A statue of Lieutenant-Colonel John By, founder of Bytown, now the city of Ottawa.
Some graffiti I found and thought was pretty cool.
I hate squirrels.
This is actually kind of cool: a layer of ice froze and then the layer of snow or water beneath it dropped, leaving some floating ice. There's another picture of another case further down.
Hard to believe this is a twenty minute walk from my house.
I think iforgotmyburnerkeyonce was right, early spring is kind of terrible for some colours.
Fun fact: those brownish lines on the building weren't there when I took the picture. I blame magic.
What I'm assuming was supposed to be a small inukshuk.
Thanks for reading! What photos have been taken by you guys this weekend?
