A sampling of photos from the Central Texas Air Show last Saturday in Temple, TX. The attractions this year were not as strong as in past years, though it was still an enjoyable show. I was particularly interested in the Bell P-63 Kingcobra, an aircraft I had never gotten to see before. Matt Younkin’s performance in the Beech 18 was fantastic as usual. The Tora Tora Tora reenactment was a bit thin on US fighters (you had a T-6 Texan chasing down a modified T-6 “Zero.” But the show closed with Randy Ball and his MiG-17F, always a crowd pleaser.
