I had to go down near the airport Tuesday on an errand, so I thought I’d turn it into a chance to take some pictures. The weather was, and has been, absolutely terrible; mist, drizzle, low ceiling. But I figured it would be a good opportunity to practice shooting in lousy conditions. The results are actually not bad, though I only got a handful of keepers. One good thing about the bad weather was that the airplanes were taking off to the north into a north wind, rather than to the south as they do most days of the year. So I got some nice takeoff shots were I usually only get landing shots. The backgrounds are better in that direction, too. Now I need to go back on a sunny day with a north wind.
