Totality. It was life changing.

As totality approached, things started to look weird. It was getting darker and cooler. But then it happened.

It was like you were transported to another demension. The temperature dropped instantly, maybe ten degrees or more. The sky went black. The stars were out. Where the sun once was, there was a black disk. The sun’s corona streamed out into space. If you looked at the horizon in any direction, there was a pink sunset. 360 degrees of sunset. That’s not something you see every day.

It was like day, night, sun rise, sun set, yesterday, today, and tomorrow were all existing in the same moment. It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. The hair on my arms and legs literally stood up and stayed up.

All I can say is that you should do everything possible to go to the 2024 eclipse.

These are the pictures from right before and during totality. Right before totality, a little cloud floated by and made for a really cool picture.

All of these were taken with my Nikon D5200, my 18-300mm Nikkor, and a 2x teleconverter.
