This pertains to buying gear. Ever miss out on a great deal due to indecision, overthinking, false logic, solar flares or whatever?

For me it was just this last weekend. I had been looking for a Rokkor 50mm lens for my XG-7. Whilst trolling through the Bay of E's, looking at f/1.7's for varying prices (one guy wanted $99*; these normally settle out around $30 or so plus shipping), I happened upon an f/1.4 for $49 with free shipping. For some reason, I waffled. Maybe it was the other 1.4 I saw that was going at a lower price at the time (which finally sold for $78). Maybe I thought it was silly to pay that much for a lens to go on the secondary camera, but I let a lens that normally winds out at around $75, sail right by me for $49...

I wound up getting a nice 1.7 for $30 plus shipping, which is currently inbound and should be quite fine...but I'll always wonder about that 1.4...

*IRT to incongruously high pricing, I love the folks that will overprice something that is more or less fairly common and can be had cheaper and then put things like "DONT LOWBALL ME I KNOW WHAT I HAVE PRICE IS FIRM!!!11!!!!! [/rant]
