I'm taking a page from Jalopnik's book and doing NPOCP for used camera gear! Today we have a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM for sale on the FredMiranda forums for $615.

NPOCP: Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM - "Sharp Copy"

The seller, JCCoulter, lists the following information:

This is a fantastic copy of this lens and it takes very sharp photos. The problem for me is I never use this lens because I also have the 200mm F1.8 which I tend to use when I need a 200mm. It has just been setting in my closet so it is time for it to go to a good home. It comes with front and rear caps and the original ET83BII lens hood and the original box. This is the MK II Version of this lens. There are no marks or signs of use on the body or glass. You really cant tell it from a brand new one.

The 200mm f/2.8L is a fairly cheap L prime lens, putting a mere $819 dent in your wallet if you were to buy it new, so what do you think? Is it worth the $200 savings to buy a used lens, or is the seller's price a little out of focus?
