I have a feeling I’m going to be going back to this place so often.

I wanted to get an early start this morning since I was off work. I got there around 8am (I wanted to get there earlier to see about catching some foxes out and about). I finished around 4:15pm. Was about a 4 mile hike. I would have gone longer but I ran out of granola bars and hadn’t eaten since breakfast. (besides the four granola bars I had with me)

So, the biggest story I have is about a coyote run in. I came to a fork (no, not a utensil) and had to choose. I wanted to go straight but figured I’d take the left for a bit to see what was there.

I rounded a corner at the same time a coyote did about 15 yards away. We sat there and stared at each other for a few minutes, turned around, and both left the way we came. There was some kind of understanding between us in that little amount of time. (and of course I snapped a few photos...that I’m mad about them being just out of focus...)

I feel like this is the first time in a while I’ve done artsy photos, and they turned out to be some of my favorites of the bunch!

As always, you can find the rest here
