We asked for your holiday snapshots and you did not disappoint.

Christmas isn’t complete until ancient, creepy Santa ornament has found a perch on the tree.

And the angel chimes sound off.

I dunno if this is the right place but hopefully, because the replies are looking borked for some reason.

This photo is laid back because I already took it before seeing this challenge! I wasplaying around with my new Panasonic 25/1.7 and one of the 3 cats in my house happened to be chilling in front of the Chrismahanukkah tree.

Here’s my entry. Taken with a 5D Mkii and my new Sigma 35 1.4 Art. With some quick editing in Lightroom.

Hopefully this one sorts itself out by the time I publish this...

Both were taken with my T2i and my 24mm f/2.8 Nikkor ai-s lens at f/8. For the black and white shot it was a family Christmas get together and the light was pretty low so I bumped up the ISO and used a slow shutter speed. It is part of a series of photos I took that night and I was really struggling to salvage most of the photos and make them look consistent as each room had different lighting. Changing them all to black and white really helped tie them all together.

The star over town was taken with a really slow shutter speed with the camera on my cheapo stays in the trunk tripod. The other major thing is just out of frame there is a really intense street light trying to wash everything with an orange glow. To counteract this I used a much cooler color temperature.

I’m just a casual picture taker, always using my iPhone 5S.

Great work everyone and I look forward to all our photography challenges in the new year!
