This is a shot of the "Thermal Energy Power Plant" in town (it's a coal-fired plant, so I'm not sure what the "thermal" means. I *think* they generate steam.
I managed to get a couple fun shots before the security guard came out and politely told me to skedaddle. :)
I love how the brightness and color are all backwards. The cools are in front, the warms in the back; high contrast in the back, low-contrast in the front. Essentially, it breaks all the basic rules of composition—but still looks fun.
