Fun with fluorescence and UV... SR20 after jump

I had some fun last night taking pictures of fluorescent minerals and rocks under large UV lights. Yeah... Some rocks and minerals naturally glow vivid colors when they're illuminated by UV light. One is an amethyst crystal cluster that I've had since I was a kid... And the other is bought from a swap meet and I don't know what it is but it's attracted to magnets.

I love taking pictures of things on a mirror... But it's a bitch keeping the mirror clean. I did as best I could cleaning up the mirror and darkening the blacks. Anyways... Here are few pictures of two minerals with UV light turned on and off for interesting comparison.
