I had a unique photographic opportunity last week. My friend's cabin is lit by an LED strip running along the peak of the ceiling. The LEDs could not only change colors but also flash between colors. So I had at it. All the shots here were done with a 3 second exposure and a rear flash.

So if you're confused: the multiple strands of light are because the LED strip consists of many separate LEDS, and each strand looks like a dotted line because LEDs flash imperceptibly fast.

So I'd open the shutter, go ham on the LED strip, then zoom in on a friend and let the flash grab them.
