Over the break, my family visited the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas, located in the old Texas School Book Depository, from which Lee Harvey Oswald shot President Kennedy. Here, one of my sons contemplates the view from the seventh floor, directly above the window Oswald fired from (the actual window is blocked off). Directly under the dark car in the center lane is a white X painted on the street where JFK was struck with the first bullet. The Grassy Knoll is to the right.
The photographer in me wishes I had waited about three seconds to snap this picture so you could see the X in the street. However, in three seconds, my son probably would have moved.
